# Interface

The following guide describes the Interface column from Edge Events.

An interface is a logical or physical connection between two network elements that allows them to communicate. Interfaces allow the AMF, MME, ENB, GNB & HSS to communicate with each other.

* **Radio Trunk** -The S1 connection between the radio and the private network's edge.
* **Edge Trunk** -The S6a connection between the edge and to HSS host.
* **FCP** - PFCP signaling between SPGWC and UPF
* **GTP** - GTP signaling between MME and SPGWC
* **5G** - NGAP signaling between AMF and GNB
