Interface

The following guide describes the Interface column from Edge Events.

An interface is a logical or physical connection between two network elements that allows them to communicate. Interfaces allow the AMF, MME, ENB, GNB & HSS to communicate with each other.

• Radio Trunk -The S1 connection between the radio and the private network's edge.

• Edge Trunk -The S6a connection between the edge and to HSS host.

• FCP - PFCP signaling between SPGWC and UPF

• GTP - GTP signaling between MME and SPGWC

• 5G - NGAP signaling between AMF and GNB
